INGREDIENTS:

Squids roundels: 800 gm

Salt to taste

Black pepper powder: 1 tbsp

Red chilli flakes: 1 tsp

Lemon juice: 1 tbsp

Cornflour/ Flour: 2 tbsp

Eggs, whisked: 2

Breadcrumbs: 1 cup

Cooking oil to deep fry: 1 cup

FOR THE DIPPING SAUCE

Olive oil: 1 tbsp

Garlic, chopped: 2 tsp

Green chilli, chopped: 1

Soy sauce: 3 tbsp

 

METHOD

1) Season squids with salt, black pepper powder, red chilli flakes & lime juice.

2) Mix well.

3) Dust with cornflour/ flour.

4) Dip the rings into the eggs & coat well with breadcrumbs.

5) Heat cooking oil in a wok & deep fry the rings till golden brown.

6) Drain.

7) For the dipping sauce, heat a pan, add oil, garlic & green chilli.

8) Allow a cooking time of a minute before adding soy sauce.

9) Once a boil comes, remove.

10) Serve the squids with the dipping sauce.

NOTE: Squids are supremely delicious.They are also popularly named as calamari. Enjoy!
